HOFTYZER, Margaret (nee Tiel) – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret at the Trenton Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, May 4th, 2022, in her 87th year. Beloved wife of 61 years to the late Bertram “Bert” Hoftyzer (2021). Dear mother to Alice Dustin (Terry), Gerald (Jennifer), and Ken (Theresa). Loving grandma to Brittany (Jeremy), Shelby (Adam), Shane (Leah), Hannah (Sean), Ben (Jill), Alex, Natalie, Chris, Brad, Rachel, and Jeff and great-grandma to 11. Sister to Jennie Boer (late Pete), John Nick Tiel (Berdine), Nel Witvoet (late John), and Abram Tiel (Alice), and will also be remembered by Bert’s brothers, sisters, spouses and their families. Predeceased by brother John Tiel (Laura), and infant great-grandson Isaiah. The family will receive friends at the RUSHNELL FUNERAL HOME 60 Division St., Trenton (613-392-2111) on Sunday, May 15th, 2022 from 2:00p.m. – 4:00p.m. A Memorial Service will be held for Margaret and the late Bert at the Community Christian Reformed Church, Frankford on Monday, May 16th, 2022 at 11:00a.m. with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment White’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Quinte Christian High School, Emmanuel Christian Academy or a Charity of Your Choice would be appreciated by the family.
