Memorial Donation
Our strong and courageous mother passed peacefully away at the Private Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion in Carbonear on Friday, November 4th after a short and brave fight with cancer.
Pre-deceased by her husband of 53 years, Clarence; son Glenn; and parents Fred P and Marion Hiscock.
Leaving behind with a lifetime of memories sons: Bob (Donna), Tony (Bernadette), Craig (Geraldine); Daughters: Darlene (Steve), Dana (Fred). Eight grandchildren: Karla (Trent), Jeremy (Ashley), Miya (Mike), Hannah (Lena), Stephen (Terri), Shane (LeighAnn), Noah, and Ava. Two great grandchildren Michelle and Jack.
Our mom also leaves behind two wonderful brothers: Jack (Rose) and Wilson (Ann) and one very special sister Eileen (Melvin) as well as a large circle of sisters and brothers in law and nieces and nephews.
Mom was also part of the family of residents at Winterholme Manor in Winterton for the past four years where she received great care from Dianne and staff; she had many good times and laughs with her friends there.
Mom transitioned to Long Term Care just a couple weeks before her passing and while her time there was brief she had settled into her new home and received excellent care from the staff on 2 North.
Resting at Greens funeral home in Winterton, visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 8th from 2:00 – 4:00pm and 7:00 – 9:00pm. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home at 3:00pm on Wednesday, November 9th with interment following at Trinity United Cemetery.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in our moms memory may be made to the Trinity United Cemetery fund Winterton.
