Margaret Elizabeth
VanDyke – 83, of Canning, Kings County, passed away on July
27, 2022 at home. Born in Wolfville, she was a daughter of the late
Chester and Evelyn (Barkhouse) Carver. Margaret worked as a Registered
Nurse Assistant in Ontario until retirement. She enjoyed spending time
outdoors, especially tending to her flower gardens. She is survived by
children, Anthony (Bessy), Toronto; grandchildren, Andrew, Michael and
Daniel; sisters, Barbara West, Steam Mill; Margaret, Jeanee
“Jean” Morawski, Sharon Dixon, Elaine (Nelson) Lutz, Wanda
Roland and Nancy Carver; brothers, Douglas (Mary), Paul (Jeannette),
David (Maryann) and Timothy; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In
addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Kees
VanDyke; sisters, Darlene and Debbie; brothers Chester, Dale and
Joseph. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by
request. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday,
August 3, 2022 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. A video
webcast of the service will be available at that time. Burial will
take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings County.
Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral
Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
