Obituary of Marcel Roy
With great sadness, the family announces the passing of Marcel Roy at Foyer Richelieu on September 27, 2022, at the age of 73. Beloved partner of Gloria Digout. Loving father of Eric (Carolyn) Roy. Cherished Grandfather of Julia Roy. Dear brother of Denise (Bill) Rochon, Carole (late Joe) Chiavaroli, Diane (Laval) Demers and Jocelyne (Jim) Briggs. Marcel will be dearly missed by many nephews, nieces, family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Donat & Jeannette Roy and brother Noel (Ronita) Roy.
Marcel retired after 35 years at Atlas Steels. He was an avid Blue Jays and Buffalo Bills fan and enjoyed watching old Clint Eastwood movies. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Foyer Richelieu for their great care during his stay.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE. Keeping with Marcel’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private service will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, at a later date.
