Marcella Dunphy

It is with deepest sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Marcella (Fraser) Dunphy, on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at home, at the age of 99.
Born in Lowland Cove, Northern Cape Breton, on September 4, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Angus and Tina (MacEachern) Fraser.
She joined the military at the age of 18, in 1942, and proudly served her country in WWII.
Marcella is survived by her son William Dunphy (Donna), daughters Christina Banks and Eleanor (Jim) Taylor, son Alex Dunphy (Susan), and many grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Nelson, 5 sisters, 3 brothers and son-in-law Fred Banks.
Her family will receive visitors on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from 1-2 pm in St. Joseph Church, Dingwall. A celebration of her life will take place Tuesday at 2 pm. The burial will be in the parish cemetery. Words of comfort may be forwarded to her family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
