It is with broken hearts, that we announce the peaceful passing of Marcel Antonin Presse, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, January 3, 2022 at Health Sciences North in Sudbury at the age of 80 years young. Beloved husband of Jeannine (née Barrette) Presse, whom he cherished for 61 wonderful years. Son of the late Philippe and late Maria (née Nadeau) Presse. Loving and devoted father of Joanne Presse (Paul Brooks) of North Bay and Brenda Presse of Verner. Cherished grandfather of Stephanie Levantis and Rachelle Levantis (Adam Henebury). Dear brother of Ernie Presse (Therese) and sister Lucille Fletcher (late Arnold). Predeceased by his siblings Eddy Presse, Rita Gagnon, Viola Bailey and infant brother Aurele. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff of the I.C.U. and the Dialysis Unit at Health Sciences North for their outstanding care and compassion given to Marcel. To Father Guy Albert at St-Jean de Brébeuf Church, our deepest gratitude for being available for Marcel’s final hours. Marcel retired after 34 years with Ontario Hydro. He was most proud of obtaining his certification as an Operating Engineer First Class. He also enjoyed travelling in his early years. He loved playing a good game of golf and enjoyed trying his luck at the casino. As per Marcel’s request, there will be no visitation or service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
