Malcolm “Mac” Sydney Huskins
1938 – 2022
Malcolm “Mac” Sydney Huskins of Miramichi, NB, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at the age of 83. Born in Sable Island, NS, the son of the late Ralph and Alice (Jeffrey) Huskins.
In his early years as a young man, Mac spent time as a Baptist Minister. He spent many years in the Miramichi Kinsmen Club in which he was president in 1974-75. One of his great pleasures was coaching the Nelson Schooners as well as being part of the Nelson Softball Association. He loved to go to his brother’s hunting camp in Nova Scotia, where he spent many hours with family and friends. He will be missed by many!
Mac is survived by his children: Laurie (Lynn), Ardeth (Miles) and Derrick; grandkids: Carly, Joshawa, Connor and Krista; great grandkids: Riley, Owen, Shayla, Jaxon, Brooklynn and Heather, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers: Murray (late Annie Annis), Elais (Doris Snow), Douglas, Jimmy (late Doris Woodberry) and Eldridge (Catherine Mills); his sister: Anne (late Gerald Beazley).
At Mac’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service.
