Obituary
MACINTOSH, Malcolm Lewis – 86, of Surf Lodge, Lockeport, it is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our father Malcolm on Wednesday, October 5th, 2022.
Malcom was born September 2nd, 1936 in West Green Harbour, the third son of nine boys to Reginald MacIntosh and Helen MacIntosh Johnson.
Mac spent most of his adult working life at National Sea. He loved animals especially cats. He was a faithful Readers Digest subscriber for over 40 years and greeted each new edition with genuine excitement. What Mac loved most was reading his Bible, wether it be by the woodstove, at the kitchen table or later in life in the quiet of his room at Surf Lodge he would most often have his Bible in his hand. He was a “True Believer”.
Mac spent his entire life living in West Green Harbour or Lockeport. He spent the last 17 years residing at Surf Lodge Nursing Home in Lockeport where he was truly happy. When not reading his Bible, he would attend bible studies and church services each Sunday. He also participated in the activities of the Surf Lodge and especially loved the pet show and handing out candy to the children each Halloween.
He is survived by his children; Charles (Susan), Raymond and Eva Bidinost (Robert), grandchildren; Lily and Evan, brothers; Delma (Debbie), Bill (Roberta), John and Lionel.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers; Fred, Russell, Robert and Raymond.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Lockeport. A visitation will take place on Saturday October 15th from 7-8:30 pm at the Lockeport Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will take place on Sunday October 16th @ 2:00 pm from the Lockeport Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Garren officiating. Burial to follow at the Lockeport Cemetery.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all the past and present saff members of Surf Lodge Nursing Home for all your years of love and devotion you have shown to Mac. You made his last seventeen years of his life the happiest and truly became his family
