Mac was predeceased by his father Isaac, mother Rose (Holmes), brother
Marcus (Gert), sister Charlene (Lee), brothers Vaughn (Audrey), Atwood
(Barbara), Leo and many friends.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Elva (Hagerman), brother

(Steve), Andrew (Danielle), Spencer, Lacy (Kevan), Hannah (Ethan),
Wyatt; great-grandson Eamon, and many nieces and nephews.
Mac was born in Holmesville, NB on October 28th, 1929. In his youth,
Mac worked on various farms in the area, eventually finding employment
with the Bridge and Building Department on the Canadian Pacific
Railway. It was during this time that he met his future wife, Elva.
After their marriage in the fall of 1951, Mac and Elva purchased their
home in Williamstown where they raised their family and farmed.
Mac was a hunting and fishing enthusiast and enjoyed spending time
outdoors. In their latter years, Mac and Elva spent their summers
camping and visiting friends. When Mac was home, you could find him
raising honey bees, boiling maple syrup in the spring, or tending to
one of his large gardens. He enjoyed listening to country music and
never turned down an opportunity to dance during music night in Bath
or Woodstock.
Mac often said to those departing his home after a visit, “are
you leaving already?” It is certain that those who loved him
will resonate with this statement more so now, following his own
departure. He will be greatly missed.
