It is with great sadness the family announces Mafalda’s passing on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at the age of 72. Daughter of the late Nicolau and Maria De São José Drummond Borges. Loving wife of Augusto Valentim. Cherished mother of Nuno, Duarte, Gonçalo Valentim and Catarina (August) Noble. Beloved grandmother of Kiiana, Nikka, Drew, Aaron, Mercedes, Mackenzie, Alexander, and Lucas. Cherished by her nieces and nephews Danika, Miguel, Sophia (Roch), Natasha, Cassidy, Nicolau Drummond Borges here in Canada and 39 more in Portugal. She will be sadly missed by her siblings Madalena (José), late Margarida, Carlos (Lisa), Luisa (Baltazar), Maria de Jesus (André), Maria de São José (Aarão), José Miguel (Helena), Cicilia, Theresa (Fabrice), Nicolau (Theresa), Pedro (Fatima), late Fatima, Leonor (Miguel), Mário (Madalena), Luis (Lissa), Rodrigo (Deborah), Rita (Jorge), Inês, and Tiago (Karen). Deeply loved by many great nieces, nephews, relatives and friends both in Canada and Portugal. The family will welcome family and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd., on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Church, Sudbury.
