Hiroshi Maehara was born May 8, 1934, where Bear Creek Provincial Park is now located. He passed peacefully on August 5, 2022, at Hospice House Kelowna.
Hiroshi spent his life as an orchardist in the Rutland area. A gentle and kindhearted person, Hiroshi lived and loved in a God honouring way.
He was predeceased by his parents Takuji and Ayame; and his siblings Kanae, Mitsuko, Takeshi and Stanley. He is survived by his sister Sumiko; devoted wife Adelaide; children Janine (Scott Bailey) and Cary (Tianna); and grandchildren Kaitlin, Benjamin and Samuel.
A Private Memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society Of BC, alzheimer.ca/bc.
