Madeliene Clapdorp 1930 2022

In Loving Memory
Mrs. Madeliene Clapdorp of Delhi, passed away at the Delhi Long Term Care Centre on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in her 93rd year. Formerly Madeliene Marie DePoorter. Beloved mother of George (Nancy), Douglas (Gale), Joseph (Debbie), Deborah, Gregory (Veronica), Joanne (Rob), Marie, Michelle (Jay) and Angela (John) and their father, the Late Armand (2021). Cherished grandmother of 21 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Madeliene is survived by her siblings, Marguerite, Lawrence and Georgette. Predeceased by her brothers, George, Raymond, Robert and Gerald. Member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs’ Catholic Women’s League and an active Member of The Girl Guides of Canada for over 30 years. Madeliene was fondly called the “cookie lady”. Throughout much of her life, she was an avid bowler, participating with her mother, sisters and daughters. She was famous within the family for her special chiffon cakes and knitting for her children, grandchildren and charities. A lover of music, she danced at every opportunity. Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. (Facial Covering and Social Distancing Required). A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Roman Catholic Church, Delhi on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Augustine Ogundele officiating. Interment in Delhi Cemetery. Memorial Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the SickKids Foundation (Toronto) will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
