Madeleine Marie-Raymonde Jedynack Belle-Isle Tuesday November 15th 2022

Madeleine Marie – Raymonde Jedynack (née Belle-Isle), 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones. Born on September 9, 1936 in Hawkesbury, Ontario to Lionel Belle-Isle and Marie-Ange Seguin, where she grew up with 10 siblings. Madeleine (Maddy) spent the majority of her life raising her family (and a slew of St-Bernards) in Brockville with her husband John Jedynack (1935 – 2016). She loved spending time with her family, listening to music, sewing, baking, gardening and enjoying the warmth of the sun in the summer boating and vacationing in the winter months to sunny destinations.
Maddy will be sincerely missed by her three daughters Jo-Ann ton (Randy), Maureen Copley (Chris), and Charlotte MacDonald. Her legacy lives on in her grandchildren Michael (Lindsey), Ben (Stef), and Patrick ton, Catherine Copley and Tyler and Jamie MacDonald, as well as her two adored great-grandchildren Brynn and Rhett. She is predeceased by her sister Simone and her brother Maurice whilst her siblings Jean, Andre, Claire, Robert, Lise, Yvon, Lucien and Nicole live on to remember her love and kindness.
Over the last 6 years, Maddy resided at the Peter D. Clark Long-Term Care Residence in Ottawa on the Maple East Unit, where she was well loved by staff and other residents. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff for their compassionate care, humor and empathy.
The family would also like to express their sincere appreciation to the attentive health care team and clergy from the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus for the excellent care and compassion given to Maddy and family in her final weeks.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 11:00 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1489 Shea Road, Stittsville. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.
Interment will take place in the Spring of 2023 at the St. Joachim Cemetery, Chute-a-Blondeau, Ontario.
For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the (Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada) and the Peter D. Clark Home, Donor Trust.
