MacDonald – Barbara J., 72, of Port Joli, Queens County, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, July 3, 2021.
Born in Liverpool, Barb was a daughter of the late Walter and Margaret (Hartlen) Verge.
Barb worked for the Seaside Seafoods for a number of years and was very active in her community. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, quilting and crafting. Barb’s true passion was her family and spending time with them especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Barb is survived by her husband of 55 years Phillip; her daughter Heather (Wayne) Wolfe of Brooklyn and her son Tracy (Michelle) of Hammonds Plains. Her grandchildren Travis ( Kayleigh) Wolfe; Kevin (Kaitlin) Wolfe; Grace and Eric MacDonald. Her great grandchildren Serenity, Summer, Sloan and KJ Wolfe. Her brother Ron (Sharon) of Hunt’s Point.
Besides her parents, Barb was predeceased by her sisters Shirley Giffin and Bea McLeod and her brother George.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool where a memorial service will be held at Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Joanne Ozon officiating.
