Obituary for
Lynn Marie George (Boudreau)
George (Boudreau), Lynn Marie – Age 56, Onslow Mountain. It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend on January 23, 2022.
Raised in Little Dover, she was the daughter of Betty and the late Gerald Boudreau. An avid lover of sports, Lynn could be found watching curling with her mother, both from home and at events, a basketball court or a softball diamond. She passed her love of sports to her two daughters who competed competitively in both sports for many years. Lynn was one of their biggest supporters in everything they did and was so proud of their accomplishments. It was through her daughters’ sports that Lynn made many lasting friendships.
Lynn and Billy made a life in Truro where they met many amazing people. Although not a social butterfly, Lynn was able to find her best friend, partner in crime and card partner in Karen. Many nights were spent around the kitchen table playing cards, laughing and enjoying each other’s company. Lynn was so grateful for their relationship.
Lynn was an animal lover and always had a dog or two by her side. She will be greatly missed by her two dogs and those of her two daughters. She loved their company as much as they did.
Lynn is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Billy; her daughters, Brittany (Dana) and Morgan (Leeam); her brothers, Adrian and Jim (Patti) and sisters, Geraldine (Mac) and Angela (Roland); her best friend, Karen (Robert) Baillie and their two boys, Logan and Duncan, whom she thought of as her own as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends who will miss her dearly.
In lieu of flowers, as Mom was not fond of them, donations may be made to the IWK Foundation or the Coastal K9 Rescue Society.
Cremation has taken place and interment will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 29th from 2 – 4pm and 6 – 8pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, NS. A second visitation will take place in Haverstock Funeral Home, 121 School St., Canso, NS on Sunday, January 30th from 2 – 4pm and 6 – 8pm. COVID-19 restrictions in place. Proof of full vaccination with ID required. Limit of 50 people. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.ColchesterCommunity.com
“I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always.
As long as I’m living, my mother you’ll be.”
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Lynn Marie
