Obituary
Lydia “Lil” Spencer moved to her heavenly home on January 22, 2022, at the age of 90 years.
She was born on June 3, 1931, in Chilliwack, B.C. to David and Katharina Braun. Lydia was the third of nine children.
She is survived by her daughters Teresa (Rod) McIntyre, Lorna Spencer, and stepson Michael (Corina) Spencer; grandchildren Chad (Jillian) McIntyre, Andrea (Scott) Robinson, Elsa-May (Mike) Pye, Tristen Eagles, and step-grandsons Mark (Esther) Spencer, Sean Spencer, and Neal Spencer; great-grandchildren Spencer, Jordyn, Christopher, Rilyn and Kaeli; sisters Johanna (Frank) Day, Linda (Bill) Kirkbride, Pauline (Bob) Ewert, Rosemary (Gerry) MacGillivray and sister-in-law Sonjia Braun. Also, numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.
Lydia was predeceased by her husband Bertram Spencer, parents David and Katharina Braun, brothers Jake (Eva) Braun and David Braun, sisters Katie (Jake) Giesbrecht and Clara (Lynn) McLeod.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Evan J. Strong Funeral Home, Thursday, February 3rd at 11:00 am. Pastor Steve McMillan officiating. A live stream of the service will be available at this link.
