Ludger Savoie 1929 2022

Peacefully at the Villa du Repos, Mr. Ludger Savoie from
Moncton, formerly from Campbellton, passed away on Friday August 19,
2022 at the age of 92. Born in Balmoral, he was the son of late Edgar
and late Rose-Anne (Savoie) Savoie.
Prior to his retirement, Ludger was Assistant Director at
Polyvalente Roland-Pépin in Campbellton for many years. He
was also a long time member of The Knights of Columbus (1946
Council).
He is survived by his children: Luc (Lise) from Moncton,
Marc-André (Monique Racine) from Beaupré,
Québec, Chantal (Guylain Castonguay) from Saint-Lazare,
Québec and Renée (Luc Lapointe) from Dieppe; his
grand-children: Joël, Jean-Dominic, Hugo,
Laurie-Ève, Joanie and Karina; his great-grand-children:
Laurent, Sophie and Arnaud; his sister, Eméline (late
Odina) of Charlo, as well as many nieces, one nephew and
cousins.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife and
the mother of his children, Gabrielle (LeBlanc) in 1973 and his second
wife, Clauda (Breau) in 2020, as well as his brother, Walter in
2017.
Funeral mass will be celebrated in the Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix
R.C. Church (87 Murphy St) on Monday August 29, at 11 am. The family
will receive friends and relatives at Frenette Funeral Centre (88
Church St) on Sunday August 28, from 7pm to 9pm and on Monday from
9:30 am until time of departure (10:45am). Ludger’s final
resting place will be in the Notre-Dame-de Lourdes parish cemetery in
Atholville NB.
