Lucita is survived by her children, Jerry (Thess), Ivy (Wilfredo), and Cheryl (Andy), daughter-in-law, Rhodora, her five grand children, and five remaining siblings. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernesto, and son, Henry.
She will especially be remembered for her loving kindness, leadership, and for her sharp memory in remembering people, events, and places, and as a stern but compassionate grade 4 teacher to her many pupils.
