LUCILLE (SAM) GRANT
September 29, 1954 – March 30, 2022
Our family mourns the sudden passing of Lucille Grant. Predeceased by her loving parents Lyle (2008) and Madge (2016) Grant of Straffordville, Lucille leaves her only sibling and close friend Jim (Sharon) as well as nephew Jason (Leanne) of Boulder, Colorado and niece Jacqueline (Steve) of North Bay. She was the proud great aunt of Ellie, Carter, Conor, Aidan, and Liam. Lucille had the good fortune of having many cousins all of whom were good friends. She greatly valued a close bond with long-time friends and confidants – Martin, Anne, Sally and Cheryl.
Lucille grew up in Straffordville, attended Glendale High School in Tillsonburg and then the University of Western Ontario. Known as “Sam” to the arts community and friends, she loved the theatre and had been very involved in all aspects of theatre production in London. She had written a play “Choices” which was performed in London.
In keeping with Lucille’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A gathering of friends and family in recognition of Lucille will be held in the near future. All arrangements to date have been entrusted to Ostrander’s Funeral Home Ltd., Tillsonburg. A private burial service will be held at a later date. Favourite photos, memories, letters of condolences can be shared online at www.ostrandersfuneralhome.com. Donations to a charity of your choice in memory of Lucille (Sam) would be sincerely appreciated by the Grant family and can be done directly with the Charity and then notifying the Funeral Home of your donation.
