Louise Foley
November 20, 1922 – May 11, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who passed peacefully into the arms of her angels, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, surrounded by her loving family at the age of ninety-nine and a half years old (don’t forget the half she’d say).
Predeceased by her parents William Drover and Sarah (née McDonald); sisters: Rita, Sadie, Mary and Dorothy; brothers: Dave, Tom and William; husband James; and sons Jimmy and Don.
Leaving to mourn with beautiful memories are three daughters: Sandra (Claude, deceased), Dorothy and Patsy(Gerry); daughter-in-law Lorraine (Jimmy, deceased); sister-in-law Phyllis (William, deceased); grandchildren: Johnny (Leona), Sheri (Colin), Chris (Kelly), Lisa (Corey), Keith (Natalie) and Kelly (Jason); great-grandchildren: Damien, Jonathan, Terri-Lynn, Danny, Nathan, Brooklynn, Olivia, Noah and Jacob; great-great-grandchildren Hunter and Sophia; special nephews and nieces in the Drover and Foley families; special family friends Sandra and Kevin Burke; and many other special extended family and friends.
Special thanks to: Bill and Sharon Drover; the nurses and doctors on 4 East and 6 West at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital; Father Critch, Father Roche, Father Melvin and Sister Elizabeth Marrie, Dr. Malone and Bonnie (who was so special to Mom); Dr. Gill (Health Science); Dr. Dunphy and Bernadette(who was so kind to Mom); Krista and Anne Marie at Quality Care Hearing (always wonderful to Mom).
Our mother’s loving warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who met her, always happy, welcoming and giving. She was a woman of strong faith, our beloved family matriarch who raised us and many others with so much sweetness and love. She is forever in our hearts.
Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on both Saturday, May 14th, 2022 and Sunday, May 15th, 2022 from 11 a.m – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 16th, 2022 from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist at 11 a.m with interment to follow at Holy Speulchre Cemetery.
