Louise Ada Germain March 4th 2022

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Louise Germain on March 4th, 2022 in her 88th year. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grand-mother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed. Beloved wife of Rene Germain (predeceased) for 63 years, loving mother to Lori Lynn Germain and cherished grandmother to Sarah Bryson of Qualicum Beach and Shane Bryson of Ft. McMurray and proud great-grandmother to Briar Violet Bryson. Louise was born April 23rd, 1933 in Sudbury, Ontario to Fred and Ada Dolci. She was the oldest of 2 children, her sister Jeannie Dolci (pre-deceased). Louise worked in her parents clothing store in Levack for many years, “Lou’s Ladies and Men’s Wear”. This was her passion, beautiful clothes and helping people look and feel their best. She married Rene in 1959, was a homemaker, bookkeeper, business owner, a mother to Lori and devoted wife to Rene for 63 years. She loved to cook hence her Italian heritage, always offering a lovely meal to her family and friends which brought her much happiness. She was very involved in the Levack Figure Skating Club for many years, very committed to Lori’s skating, spending hours cheering her on and attending competitions. This was her pride and joy. She also adored her grandchildren and loved watching them play sports cheering them on with great vigor. Rene and Louise moved to BC in 1987 from Ontario to be close to their family and simply loved the Okanagan for 35 years. Louise loved to play bingo, was a fabulous dancer in her early years and always loved a social gathering. Louise and Rene spent many years in retirement traveling on bus trips, cruises and tropical vacations with many friends which she enjoyed immensely. She will be greatly missed by our family and friends. We wish to express our deep gratitude to the staff, care aids and nurses at the Hamlets at Vernon who showed so much kindness, care and compassion to Mom during her short stay. Please send any donations to Canadian Mental Health in Vernon BC.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Louise Ada Germain March 4th 2022..
