It is with a heavy heart that we
announce the passing of Louisa “Louise”
Frances (nee Grant) Wilson at the Westford Nursing Home
in Port Elgin on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at the age of 99
years.
Born in Little Shemogue, N.B.
(Cadman’s Corner), on December 3, 1923, she was the daughter
of the late Emiellianne Marie (Downing) and Robert Alcorn
Grant.
She graduated from the Provincial Normal
School in Fredericton and taught in the Tantramar area for many
years. She loved music and enjoyed the sing-alongs with her
niece Elizabeth Wells. She will be sadly missed by all who
knew her.
She will be lovingly remembered by her
four children: David, Donald, Diane and
Carol.
The family would like to extend a
special and heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Westford Nursing
Home.
She was predeceased by her husband,
Walter Wilson, as well as by her siblings, Clarence, Thomas, Andrew,
Philip, Abram, Gaston, Agnes and Mary.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of the Jones Funeral Home,
Sackville and Port Elgin, NB (506-364-1300). Honouring
Louise’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there are to be no
services at this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory
of Louise may be made to the Westford Nursing Home or to a charity of
one’s choice.
