The death of Louis Joseph Albert Fogan occurred at the Bridgeview Nursing Home in Miramichi on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the age of 87. Louis passed peacefully surrounded by his family.
Born in Newcastle, Louis was the husband of the late Marion Fogan (Murray) and son of the late John and Emelda Fogan.
Louis was a carpenter by trade and became an avid computer programmer later in life. Louis was a life member of the Knights of Columbus and devoted member of the Catholic Church. Louis took great joy in being a part of the lives of his children and grandchildren.
Louis is survived by four children: Marilyn Underhill (Paul), Janice Jardine (Garth), Michael (Barb) and Michelle McDonald (Dan); two brothers John (Shirley), Bruce and one sister Joan Benedict (Jim); ten grandchildren Morgan and Jesse Underhill, Laura and Maggie Jardine, Brandon and Hailey McDonald and Michael, Louis, Marion and Anna Fogan; one great grandchild Case Coffie and several nieces and nephews.
Louis is predeceased by two sisters Marie and Anna.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, Blackville on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Father Paul Doucet officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery later in the spring.
