Obituary of Lorrena Evelyn Griffith
Passed peacefully on November 3, 2022 at the Smiths Falls Hospital at the age of 86 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband William Griffith; her grandson Allan Griffith; her parents Lorrena & Walter Leach; her brothers Alvin, Arthur, George, and Kenny Leach; her sisters Edna Soucie and Joyce Lang; as well her dear friend Gerry. Left to mourn this loss are her children Wayne (Cindy) and William (Heather) Griffith; her siblings Wilfred Leach, Marion Hass, Elden (Jane) Leach, and Keith (Marie) Leach; her beloved grandchildren Andrew (Ashley) Griffith, Amy (Rob) Orr, Tianna (Jeff) Egan, Ryan (Catie) Griffth, and Trevor (Laura) Griffith; as well as her beautiful great-grandchildren Ayla, Marley, Callie, Clara, Jordan, Dillon, Julia, and her great-great-grandson Oliver. She will be fondly remembered and missed by her many extended family members and friends. Lorrena was a longtime and active member of her community; she could often be found playing cards or shuffleboard at the Smiths Falls Senior Centre or the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 95 of which she was a member. During the summer months she was happiest in her garden, surrounded by her plants. She served her community as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years at the Smiths Falls public hospital and touched many lives along the way. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home in Smiths Falls (112 Beckwith St. N.) on Monday November 7, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday November 8, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow in the Blair & Son Smiths Falls Chapel. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery (3540 Hwy 43, Smiths Falls), with a reception to follow back at the Blair & Son Reception Centre. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
