Lorraine Roberta Sheppard
April 9th, 1952 – September 30th, 2022
Passed away peacefully in the arms of her children and grandchildren on the medical unit at the James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre on Friday September 30th, 2022 at the age of 70 years.
Predeceased by husband Lester Sheppard; parents: Dorman and Ina Hewitt; sisters: Geraldine Hewitt, Eliza Hewitt; sisters-in-law: Demi Hewitt, Verley Hewitt and nephew Howard Hewitt.
Left with loving memories are her daughters: Tammy (Jamie) Coles, Tracy Sheppard (Rick), Tanya (Shawn) Marshall; son Trent (Patti) Sheppard; grandchildren: Makyla Coles, Ryan Coles, D.J. Sheppard, Kyle Holmes, Taylor Marshall, Riley Marshall, Robbie Hicks, Jessica Sheppard, Eva Tulk; brothers: William Hewitt, Lloyd Hewitt, Roy (Rita) Hewitt and Grandpuppies Storm, Milo, Sophie, Loki, Kanan, Karma, Roxie, and Dixie as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends.
The family of the late Lorraine Sheppard would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Casey and the nursing staff of the medical unit at the James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre for the compassionate care they provided her and the family during her stay.
Resting at Stacey’s Funeral Home, Carmanville with visitation dates and times to be announced.
Funeral service will take place at Emmanuel United Church, Carmanville on Monday October 3rd, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Reverend Stephen Matthews, with interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery, Noggin Cove.
As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations in Lorraine’s memory can be made to the family in preparation to fundraise for the purchase of a cuddle bed for palliative care at James Paton Memorial Health Care Centre.
