It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. Lorraine was born in D’Escousse on August 3rd, 1929 to the late James & Hortense McGrath.

Lorraine was predeceased by her husband, Edmond; son, Michael; and great-granddaughter, Halle Rose MacNeil. She was also predeceased by siblings, Mildred, Steven, Francis, Edna, Wilfred, and Marion.
Lorraine was very special to anyone who knew her. She was a home maker and caregiver and was always happiest with a full house. We could always count on her loving support when we needed it most. For the last five years, she and her youngest daughter, Kim lived happily in a granny suite next to her daughter, Daphne and family. She always welcomed family and friends with her beautiful smile and open arms.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday June 10th, 2022 at 11am from St. Joseph’s Church, Port Hawkesbury; Interment to follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Mask wearing is encouraged while attending the Funeral Mass. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The ROC Society (www.rocsociety.ca) or to a charity of one’s choice.
