In loving memory of Lorne Melvin Roque, March 28, 1942 – August 16th, 2022. Peacefully at Health Sciences North surrounded by his loving family. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Kathleen and his children Pamela (Mark Lalande), Gerald and June. Also, by his grandchildren Laura, Sara and Jordan and many great grandchildren. Beloved son of Edward and Mamie (Proulx) Roque both predeceased. Loving brother of Vivian de la Morandiere (Teddy) both predeceased, Hubert predeceased (Glenna), Arthur (Audrey) both predeceased, Annabelle Ruth predeceased, Mae, Anthony (Joyce predeceased), Wilma, Marina (Joe Luzak predeceased), and Joan all of Killarney and many nieces and nephews.
Lorne was a lifelong miner, starting at Indusmin (Unimin) in 1970 until his well-deserved retirement in 2007. Lorne loved his hockey. The glory days of skating with his Northmen to Manitoulin Island was never far from his mind even in the later days when all else eluded him.
Cremation with a celebration of life to follow. Interment of ashes at the All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson’s Society would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Sudbury Park Lawn Cremation Services.
