The death of Lorne Herbert Marlow, husband of Lucie (Pineau) Marlow of Miramichi, NB, occurred on November 22, 2022, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 81. Born in Hamilton, ON, he was the son of the late Arthur and Evelyn (Osborn) Marlow. Lorne was retired from Hamilton School Board where he was the chief caretaker for 33 years, he was a member of the Newcastle Lions Club for 20 years.
Besides his wife, Lorne is survived by children: Cheryl Later (Ken) of Hamilton, ON; Philip (Jolly) of Brampton, ON; Michael (Kim) of Hamilton, ON; step-children: Kevin Malley (Sherry) of Lethbridge, AB; Jack Malley (Debora) of Toronto, ON; Jim Blanchard (Mary-Ruth) of Miramichi, NB; Judy MacLean (Archie) of Fredericton, NB; John Blanchard of Miramichi, NB; grandchildren: Jeremy Later (Shelly) of ON; April Later-Zahorouski (David) of ON; Alyssa, Jordon, Ashlynn and Jacob Later all of Hamilton, ON; Madison Marlow of Vancouver, BC; Deborah Rust of ON; step-grandchildren: Josi Van Slyke (Landen), Jacob and Jaxon Malley all of Edmonton, AB; Jason Blanchard of Halifax, NS; Benjamin MacLean (Emily), Tom MacLean (Rachel), Daniel MacLean all of Fredericton, NB; Alisa Blanchard of Toronto, ON; Sarah Baglole (Paul) of Hamilton, ON; great grandchildren: Alexa, Mikhaela and Jaxon Later all of ON; nine step-grandchildren; brother; Arthur Marlow Jr. (Arlene), Carlyle, ON, half-sister: Kathleen Quiney (Steve) of Dundas, ON; half-brother: Brian Richardson, Calgary, AB, ; sisters-in-law: Flora Richardson of Hamilton, ON. Zella Goguen of Ajax, ON; Bella Pineau of Miramichi, NB; Dora Stewart (Joe Gallant) of Miramichi, NB; Elizabeth Pineau; brothers-in-law: Rene Pineau (Juliette) of Shediac, NB; Joseph Pineau (Carolyn) of Miramichi, NB; Gerald Pineau (Mary) of Miramichi, NB; Emile Pineau (Peggy) of Hammonds Plains, NS; Vincent Pineau (Claudine Comeau) of Miramichi, NB; Paul Pineau (Joanne) of Rogersville, NB. Besides his parents, Lorne is predeceased by in-laws: Jeremie and Lauretta Pineau; Stepfather: Arthur Richardson; step-brother: Ken Richardson; sisters-in-law: Rose-Alma Blanchard, Louise Pineau and Corrine Pineau, brothers-in-law: Fred Goguen and Gerald Blanchard and Lionel Pineau; step-niece: Joan Blanchard, Jennifer Pineau and Valerie Shediac; step-nephews: Jerry Pineau and Andre Pineau.
The family will receive visitors at Bell’s Funeral Home on Friday, December 2, 2022, from 4-7 PM. The Funeral Service will be held from Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Chatham Head on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 11 AM with Father John Beaumaster officiating. Interment will take place in Hamilton, Ontario.
