Obituary for Lorne Douglas
Lorne Douglas, 72 years, of Petrolia died peacefully surrounded by his family at his home on Monday, March 28, 2022. Lorne is survived by his wife Mabel (nee Mumby), his children Craig (Heather) Douglas, Alan Douglas, and Megan (Thomas McDonough) Douglas, his grandchildren Amber, Kaitlyn, and Jordan. He is also survived by sisters Winnie and Joyce. Lorne was active in both Petrolia-Washington Lodge No. 194 and Hiawatha Chapter Sarnia of the Royal Arch. Lorne and Mabel spent most of thier free time camping at various locations and was a member of Family Campers and RVers Association.
Visitors will be received on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 6 to 8 p.m. a Masonic service will be held at 5:45 pm
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 11a.m. from the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hillsdale Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice (www.stjosephshospice.ca) and Victorian Order of Nurses (www.von.ca).
