Obituary
On April 6, 2022, Lorne Kleppe passed away suddenly at home. Lorne was born in Calgary where he lived most of his life until moving to Wetaskiwin in 2017. Lorne began his career in loss prevention and moved into Safety after completing his CRSP Designation through the University of Calgary. Lorne served as the Executive Director of the Manufacturers’ Health & Safety Association for almost 17 years.
As a child, Lorne spent many summer vacations traveling to Norway to visit his family there. This resulted in his love of travel and spent many vacations with his own family traveling throughout the Caribbean, Hawaii, Florida, California and a whirlwind trip to Norway, England, France and Italy.
Left to mourn him are the loves of his life, his children Cassidy (Brian) Emms and Logan Kleppe as well as his new grandson Henry Emms. He was extremely proud of them and will be forever cheering them on from Heaven. He also leaves behind his sister Janet (Andy) Bullard, many family members in Norway and lifelong friends Jim & Nelda Layton and their family who supported him throughout his life.
Lorne was predeceased by his father George and mother Monica.
