Obituary
If you ever had the opportunity to meet Lois, you would probably remember her sense of humor and care for others, her love and adoration for her husband Max for 26 years. She lived her life to the fullest, proven by her recent solo trip to visit her family and friends in Ontario at 91 years old. She’s the 4th oldest of 8 siblings. Deceased by 2 sisters, Carol Meadows and Beverly Rak. Brothers, Murry, Ken, Reid and Lawrence Sprickerhoff. Survived by her sister, Faye Belanger. Aunty Lois had a plethora of nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews. She and her family grew up in Hearst, Ontario before relocating to Port Arthur where she began her career at BMO for 37 years and met the love of her life, Max. She loved to knit, sew, paint ceramics, and stay up to date on current events. Her favourite songs “Just as I am” and “Abide in me” were meaningful to her. She loved to dance and volunteered at the local baby clinic for years. She had a gift for making others feel special and greatly enjoyed dining out!
She moved to Westbank to join her sister Faye and brother-in-law Ron where she would fulfill the rest of her life. Her last intended plan was to go out for wings with her nephew Michael and Karen Landiak. Lois passed on July 4th surrounded by family that loved her. She will always be remembered, loved and greatly missed by many family and friends. A small local gathering will be held in West Kelowna. The funeral will be held in Thunder Bay, date still be to be determined.
