Obituary of Lloyd William Peartree
Lloyd William Peartree passed away peacefully at the Aberdeen Hospital on June 18, 2022. Lloyd was born on July 1, 1937 in East River Saint Mary’s, NS. At the age of 16 Lloyd moved to the North End of New Glasgow. He was formerly employed by MacLean’s Beverages, Tide Water, Halliday’s and retired from Central Supplies after 40 years working in building supplies.
Lloyd had a love of the outdoors, devoting many hours at his Christmas tree lot, playing tennis, cross country skiing and walking faithfully every day. He never missed a NASCAR Race, or the chance to cheer for his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs.
Lloyd is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lois (Kelly); Daughters; Kelly- Lee (Mark), Kim (Mike), Grandchildren; Lloyd (Amy), Erika (Joey), Roland (Robyn), Blaine (Zoe) and Jared (Nathalie). His pride and joy; Great-Grandchildren, Landon, Owen and Blake, who affectionately called him “Puppa Tree”. Sister, Bonnie Butt (George), Wayne Foran (Marilyn) and nieces and nephews. Puppa will be deeply missed by his loving family.
There will be no visitation .
Lloyd’s funeral will be held at St. John the Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Tom MacNeil officiating . Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations in Lloyd’s memory may be made to Holy Cross Cemetery .Arrangements are entrusted to the H.W.Angus Funeral Home.
