Lloyd Henry Engel, late of Lafleche, Saskatchewan (winters in Kelowna, British Columbia) passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the age of 89 with his family by his side. He was born to Alice and Earl Engel on December 8, 1932 in the Woodrow, Saskatchewan area.
Lloyd was predeceased by his first wife Elsie (Skibitzky) Engel who passed away in 2011; his second wife Doris (Powers) Engel who passed away 2021; his only sibling Glen Engel of Calgary, Alberta who passed away in 2019; and his parents Earl and Alice Engel.
Lloyd is survived by one son, two daughters, ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his son Wendel (Marianne) Engel of Balgonie, Saskatchewan, grandson Nathan (Lacey) Engel and twin great-grandsons Kolson and Tayvan Engel of Balgonie, Saskatchewan, granddaughter Brieanne (Brett) Pelzer of Regina, Saskatchewan.
Lloyd is survived by his daughter Wendyne Engel (partner Walter) of Nanaimo, British Columbia, granddaughter Jesslyn (Jaron) Dubyna and great-grandchildren Mila and Ruby Dubyna of Nanaimo, British Columbia, grandson Jason (Charity) Gosling and great-grandchildren Thorin and Arianne Glosling of Surrey, British Columbia, granddaughter Andrea Gosling of Calgary, Alberta, granddaughter Brittany Gosling (Dustin Cremers} and great-grandchildren Sterling and Meadow Cremers of Calgary, Alberta, granddaughter Jodi (Andrew) Lucas, great-grandchildren Brielle, Callia, Cash and Rome Lucas of Nanaimo, British Columbia.
He is survived by his daughter Wenelda (Ed) Zurrin of Lake Country, British Columbia, grandchildren Thea (Joshua) Roberge, great-grandson Maverick Roberge of Kelowna, British Columbia, granddaughter Joelle (Barak) Pauls of Australia, great-granddaughter Summer Pauls and grandson Luke Zurrin of Lake Country, British Columbia.
Lloyd’s family would like to say a special thank you to Mike Poisson for the great friendship and support given to Lloyd in the past years. Lloyd wouldn’t have been able to do what he loved most, his carpentry and farm projects, without the help and support of Mike.
Lloyd was loved by many and will be greatly missed. We will miss you Dad but we know you are now in Heaven watching over us all. You have left an amazing legacy to be very proud of.
