1944-2022
Lloyd DesRoches, passed at Monarch Hall, Riverview on
Tuesday, June 14, 2022. Born in Tignish, PE, he was the son
of the late Arthur and Eva (Chaisson)
DesRoches.
Lloyd was an owner/operator transport driver for most of his
working career. He attended the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and
was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 9270.
He is survived by daughters; Karen DesRoches (Jeff Nixon) and
Debra DesRoches, sisters; Doreen Arsenault (Armand), Anita Breau,
Joyce Brown (Gordon), Leona Keefe (Bernard), brothers; Edgar (Mary),
Aubrey (Isabel), Eric (Bernadine) and Dennis, grandchildren; Alex and
Abbey Turner. Aside from his parents he was predeceased by his wife
Lorinda (Lori) DesRoches and a brothers Gerald and Cecil. He had a
passion and love for football, having been a Moncton Minor football
referee for many years and was a member of the Canadian Football
Officials Association, where he served on several
committees.
Lloyd’s family will be receiving friends and
relatives at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center
(869-2007) on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 6 – 8 pm with
prayers and sharing of memories to be held at 7:30 pm. The
funeral mass will be celebrated from the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Catholic Church on Friday, June 17th at 10:30
am with Father Phil Mulligan presiding. The interment will take place
in Alderwood Cemetery. The service will be live streamed via the
church’s facebook page. Donations made to Immaculate Heart
of Mary Catholic Church would be appreciated by his family.
