Lloyd Charles Hicks
1945-2022
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lloyd Hicks of
Riverview on Monday, February 1 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in
Moncton, he was the son of the late Seymour and Ethel (Gayton)
Hicks.
For the majority of his life, Lloyd worked as a transport
driver; first for Auto Haul Away (which was bought by Allied Systems)
then for his own company Lolyn Transport. He was also the former
President of the Magnetic Hill Lions Club. His hobbies included
furniture carpentry, gardening, antique shopping at the Sus Flea
Market, watching NASCAR, yard work, and generally being outdoors. When
he had a cottage on Main River, he loved relaxing or boating there and
treasured spending time with his family and his dog Angel. He and his
wife lived for many years on Front Mountain Road and were well known
in the area.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 50 years
Lynda (Phillips); son David (Jenn); daughters Debbie Hicks LeBlanc
(Lionel), Debbie Budd (Terry), Kim Cormier, and Bonnie Parsons (Ken);
sisters Olive Briggs (Buddy) and Margaret Hermitage (Alan);
sisters-in-law Barb Humphrey (Brian) and Lela Phillips;

(Pauline), Greg (Debbie), and Robbie (Doreen) Phillips; 16
grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and
numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased
by his infant sister Eva, parents-in-law Charles and Phyllis (Trites)
Phillips, brother-in-law Mike Phillips, son-in-law Leo Cormier, godson
Charles Hermitage, and grandson James Budd.
His arrangements have been entrusted to Cobb’s
Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd, Riverview
(869-2007). Cremation has taken place and a burial will be held at a
later date. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of
