It is with deep sadness we announce the
passing of Llewelyn Emmerson Rushton, age
84 of Oxford, NS. Lew passed away peacefully at home Sunday June 26,
2022.
Born in Oxford, he was the son of the
Late Walter and Bernice(Purdy) Rushton.
Lew was employed with Scotsburn Dairies
in Amherst were he retired with over 25 years’ service. He
served as a member, holding different titles over the years, with Nova
Scotia Minor Hockey.
Lew is survived by his wife Ruth. His
children Cynthia (Ken), Michael(Andrea), Angela(Bradley),
Mary-Jo(Kelly) and Andrew. He was Papa to his grandchildren Amanda,
Melanie, Krisanne, Kendra, Robby, Colton, Madalyn, Matthew, Jordan,
and Jacob and his 5 great- grandchildren. Brother Les(Nancy) and
Sister Gloria along with several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased
by sisters Elsie, Doreen, Muriel, Nina and Lorraine; brothers Percy,
Merville, Leon, Ivan and Richard.
Arrangements have been entrusted into
the care and guidance of W. Allen Funeral
Home, 60 Water Street, Oxford, NS (902-447-2167). To
honor his request, cremation has taken place and a private burial will
take place at Pine Grove Cemetery, Oxford at a later
date.

to Nova Scotia Minor Hockey or any charity of your
choice.
