Linney, beloved mother and grandma passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 7th with family at her side. Mourning her passing are her sons, Clark (Jacqueline) and Blair (Patricia); her cherished grandchildren, Robyn (Eric), Connor (Alix), Laurel (Ethan) and Tyler (Julie). Lynn now joins her loving husband Wilfred. Lynn is survived by her 2 sisters, Mabel (Ed) and Doris (Jim), and was predeceased by her siblings, Violet (Hector), Hazel (Orvil) and Verner (Phyllis).
Lynn was born to Helmer and Anna Johnson in Shell Lake, SK. After graduating from Teacher’s College in Saskatoon, she taught in a single room Schoolhouse in Shell Lake.
Later while working in Saskatoon, she met Wilfred Goshawk. They were married in 1958.
Lynn worked at various teaching positions with the Saskatoon Public School Board and the University of Saskatchewan. She later owned a successful small business; Cloud 9 Bed and Bath.
By 1980, Lynn was retired, and spent time at the family cabin at Emerald Lake. Later in life, ‘Grams’ loved spending time with her grandkids. She also continued her lifelong love of sewing, cooking, travelling, golfing and playing bridge.
As per Lynn’s wishes a ‘Celebration of Life’ reception will be held in the spring 2023.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lynn may be made to the Saskatoon Food Bank.
