It is with great sadness we announce that Linda Elizabeth Shepherd, 67 years old, of Maple Ridge, BC, passed away on November 9, 2022.
Linda was born on April 18, 1955, in Wetaskiwin, Alberta to Edward and Margaret Shepherd, where the family resided until moving to Maple Ridge, BC in 1965. Linda eventually ventured off on her own to the Vancouver and Coquitlam areas where she soon met her beloved husband, Bill McNaughton, who preceded her in death in 2005. Linda and Bill lived in Richmond, BC and enjoyed their time with family and friends, and taking their dog Toby for many walks and hikes, before returning to reside in Maple Ridge, BC.
Over the years Linda dedicated her professional time to work in payroll departments where she made many friends and shared her expertise in the field until her retirement in 2020.
Although Linda enjoyed the work she did, she valued time spent with family and made sure to enjoy life, trying out many new adventures. From running marathons, biking, golfing, skiing, and travelling the world, to spending quiet evenings at home with family and her much-loved cats, Linda enjoyed a full, loving life.
Even with the adventurous and full life she was living, Linda always made time for her family and friends. We are filled with gratitude for the years we had with Linda, albeit too few, and hope that she lives on in the stories and memories we share. Linda is survived by numerous family members, siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews and will be greatly missed by them and her many friends.
A funeral service will take place at Garden Hill Funeral Home at 2pm on December 10th, 2022, with a reception to follow.
