Obituary
Linda Jeanne Brunton (nee Watson), in her 77th year, passed peacefully on Monday, November 21,2022. Linda has been battling Alzheimer’s Disease for the past four years.
Linda Jeanne Watson, born December 8th 1945, in Hamilton, Ontario, a daughter to Alice and Milford Watson. Predeceased by her beloved brother Harold Watson (wife Verna) and survived by her one and only sister, Lois Graham (husband Robert).
Linda leaves her husband of 56 years, Ken, married November 5, 1966.
Linda was so very proud of her children Sarah (husband Michael) and John (wife Heather) and her awesome grandchildren Addison, Cooper, Claire, and Evelyn.
Linda attended local Flamborough schools, including Waterdown District High School and Burlington Business College. She went on to work as a switchboard operator at Stelco where she and Ken were introduced. After raising her family, Linda worked as an executive assistant to the Vice President of Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital for 18 years before retiring in 2004.
In her retirement, Linda continued to touch the lives of others by becoming a Reiki Master and Wellness Coach.
Linda was an incredibly social person, with a wide circle of friends. She was totally devoted to her family and was especially proud of her grandchildren.
Linda embraced winter and everything it represented, particularly Winter. Not to be outdone by other seasons. Linda loved the summertime and their cottage on the river “her happy place” at Sauble Beach… “It’s a beautiful day on The Bruce”.
Linda was so very thankful for each and every day she walked this earth. She spread kindness and warmth to everyone she encountered, knew and loved. She was always grateful for the gifts in her life, “We are so blessed”
Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation on Friday, November 25, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown, where the Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Burlington Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Alzheimer Society in memory of Linda would be appreciated by the family.
