1942-2022
Linda Barbara McDavid, 79, of Turtle
Creek passed away on Tuesday, April 12th, 2022 at home peacefully with
family by her side. Born in Moncton, NB she was the daughter of the
late James & Francis Killam. Linda devoted her life to her
husband & children; she was a loving mother, grandmother,
great grandmother, friend, and neighbour. Linda was fun, selfless, a
joy to be around, and she loved music, dancing, shopping, and
chatting.
She will be greatly missed by her
children Douglas McDavid (Anne), Heather McDavid (Orville), Kelly
Wilson (Jeff) & Todd McDavid (Lisa); several grandchildren,
great grandchildren, her sisters Margorie, Sandra (Jeff) &
Joan, sister-in-law Mona (John), brother-in-law Pat, extended family
& her special friends Ethel & Karl.
Besides her parents, Linda was
predeceased by her husband Clifford and son Dwayne, brother Jackie,
sisters Anna, Donna, and Winifred, brother-in-law Chesley,
sisters-in-law Diana and Alice, and grandson
Josh.
The family would like to thank the
doctors & nurses of Dialysis unit for the care and compassion
they showed her over the years, and to her nurse Melissa Thomas for
her compassion the last few months to allow her to remain at home with
her family.
Her family will be receiving friends and
relatives at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330
Whitepine Rd, Riverview (869-2007) on Monday, April
18th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A service
celebrating her life will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday,
April 19th at 11:00am with Pastor John Peck
presiding. A reception will follow the service. Masks are strongly
encouraged for all events. An interment at Elmwood Cemetery will take
place at a later date. For those unable to attend, the service will be
live-streamed and recorded. Donations to the Kidney Foundation of
Canada would be appreciated by the family.
