Lily Florence Woodworth 1922 2022

Obituary of Lily Florence Woodworth
Lilly Florence (White) Woodworth of Point Leamington was taken to her heavenly home on April 26, 2022 at age 100. She resided at the Twomey Centre in Botwood, since the passing of her husband in 2015.
Lily was born in Northwest Arm, NL on February 18, 1922. Due to circumstances, as a child she lived with her aunt in Botwood. She later worked as a maid in Point Leamington; and as a young adult, at a bakery in Botwood.
Lily gave her heart to the Lord at the Botwood Pentecostal Church. She married Roland Mark Woodworth, and together they built a home and raised four children in Point Leamington. They also took care of her aging mother for several years.
Lily was a very private person who loved the Lord, her family and her friends. She had a passion for baking; there were always sweets in the house. She collected cookbooks and loved quilting, knitting, sewing and reading. She also loved her flower garden and pet cat.
She was predeceased by her husband, Roland, and infant sons; parents, Meta (Mills) and Herbert White; sisters, Violet, Ruth, Irene, and Ruby; brothers, Bramwell, Baxter, Donald and Robert. She leaves to mourn her sons, Dennis (Primrose), Dale (Irene), and David (Bonnie); daughter Joan (Bruce) Loder; 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and a circle of other relatives and friends.
Pastor Baine Andrews will conduct the funeral service from Point Leamington Pentecostal Church on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 2pm. Interment will follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kirk, Lee and Matthew Woodworth, B.J. and Robert Loder, and Heather Noseworthy.
Donations in Lily’s memory can be made to The Point Leamington Pentecostal Cemetery Fund.
