Lilliane Gallant (UPDATED)

SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – Lilliane Gallant, 90, of
Saint-Louis passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont
University Hospital Centre on Sunday, January
16th, 2022. Born in Saint-Ignace, she was the
daughter of the late Arsène and Georgianna (Richard)
Gallant. She was a member of the Saint-Louis and Saint-Ignace Golden
Age Club and was a parishioner at Saint-Louis-des-Français
Roman Catholic Church.
Lilliane leaves to mourn her spouse, Aldred Stewart; her four
daughters, Ginette Lirette (Leo) of Saint-Charles, Rhéa
Gallant (Réjean Lebouthilier) of Richibouctou-Village,
Diane Gallant (Steve MacMillan) of Saint-Charles and Patricia Guimond
(Michel) of Saint-Louis; her two sons, Onile (Angela Gallant) of
Saint-Charles and Ovila of Bouctouche; her 12 grandchildren and 18
great-grandchildren; as well as Aldred’s children, Edna
Stewart (late Donald) of Saint-Louis, Wanda Stewart (Paul) of
Saint-Louis, Hazel Bourque (Louis-Emile) of Saint-Charles, Sally
Gaudet (Denis) of Aldouane, Wade (Alice) of Acadieville, Chester
(Joanne) of Miramichi, Danny (Paulette) of Saint-Ignace and Miles
(Anne) of Saint-Charles; as well as their children and
grandchildren.
Lilliane will also be sadly missed by her nine sisters, Irma
Laplante (Paul Côté) of Saint-Louis,
Ozélie Gallant of Richibucto, Helena Arsenault of
Saint-Louis, Yvonne Gaudet (late Leopold) of Memramcook, Emilienne
Chouinard (late Isidore) of Lévis, QC, Rose-Marie Gallant
(late Adelard) of Saint-Ignace, Gemma Gallant of Richibucto,
Marguerite Richard (André) of Moncton and Bernice Allain
(Robert) of Shediac; as well as her many nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, Lilliane was predeceased by her first
husband, Arthur Gallant; her sister, Cécile; and her
brother, Ovila.
Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home,
Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Saturday from 9:00 am until departure for the
funeral. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February
5th, 2022 at 11:00 am, Saint-Louis-des-Français Roman
Catholic Church, Saint-Louis-de-Kent.
Following provincial COVID-19 regulations, a maximum of 50
people at a time will be allowed in the funeral home, visitors will be
required to provide proof of double COVID-19 vaccination and
government issued ID to enter the funeral home and church, masks are
mandatory and we ask that social distancing is
respected.
