Obituary of Lillian Dawson
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Lillian Dawson on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the age of 90. She is predeceased by her parents David Samuel Dawson and Martha Jane Morrow and six siblings. Lillian is survived by her brother Howard Dawson (the late Valerie) and her godchildren Karri Dawson (Jean Laliberte) and Robert Finney (Merry Tinneke). She will be fondly remembered as the much loved Auntie to many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Lillian was always happy to share stories of her childhood, her time working in Montreal and later Toronto and to find common ground and other points of connection with those she met along the way. She cherished her life-long friends and over the last year she enjoyed meeting new friends at the Heritage Lodge, where she particularly enjoyed the drumming sessions and was proud of the rhythm, she discovered she had. Auntie Lil rarely missed an occasion to celebrate and share how much she enjoyed being with family.
A Celebration of Lillian’s Life will be held in the Spring.
