In Memory of Lillian “Joy” Stapley
Peacefully passed away at The Bridge Hospice, Warkworth on August 24, 2022 at the age of 85. Loved wife of the late Sherwin Ross Douglas Stapley. Dear mother of Sheryl (Rob) Donald, the late Steve (Carol Anne), Chris (Marg) & Jeff (Sandy). Proud grandmother of Michelle (Jeremy), Ryan (Kirsty), Scott (Erica), Bryce (Chantal), Kelli, Kelsey (Taylor), Emma, Rachel and Jack. Great Grandmother of Lily, Claire, Nolan, Lola, Dax, Jocelyn & Caysen.
Predeceased by brothers Alex Russell and Glenn Russell. Joy was the matriarch of the family, remembering everyone’s birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions. She was a fantastic cook and was well known for her chocolate & banana cakes and her special humdingers and desserts galore. Joy loved to decorate for all holidays and was an avid gardener. She supported Sherwin in his every endeavour, antiquing on numerous old car tours over the years.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of life will take place with family and friends on Sunday September 11th at 154 Portage Street, Campbellford from 1-4pm.
A special thanks to the staff at The Bridge Hospice in Warkworth for the excellent care during mom’s stay.
