Lillian’s Obituary
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we, the family of the late Lillian Hatcher (nee Skinner), announce her peaceful passing at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Heath Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Saturday, January 22nd, 2022 at the age of 98 years. Born in Rose Blanche, NL, Lillian was the daughter of the late James and Maud Skinner (nee Parsons). She was also predeceased by her husband; Thomas Hatcher, son; Lewis Hatcher, brothers and sisters; Allan, Mary (Lewis) Strickland, Cassie (Henry) Spincer, Susie (Fred) Bennett, Fan (Monford) Chislett, Bill (Dolly) Skinner and Reuben (Betty) Skinner.
Leaving to mourn with many fond and precious memories her loving daughter; Eileen (Robert) Bowdridge of Stephenville NL, son; Allan (Sandra) Hatcher of Carbonear NL, daughter-in-law; Sarah Hatcher, grandchildren; David (Ellen), Heather (Bond), Jason, Allison (Jason), Dalton, great-grandchildren; Stephen, Skylar, Hannah, Owen, Brandon, Joshua, Liam, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends from the Mountain Hope Manor.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 24th, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home Inc., 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 25th, 2022 at 11 a.m. from St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Grand Bay-Port aux Basques officiated by Rev. Faye Coffin. Interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road, NL. Due to the latest Government regulations your Newfoundland VaxPass, photo ID, masks and social distancing are required for entry to the visitation and church service. Flowers are graciously accepted and donations in Lillian’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador, 835 Topsail Rd Unit 107, Mount Pearl, NL A1N 3J6.
