After a courageous battle, on Thursday, October 27, 2022, in Toronto. Beloved and devoted wife of Mark Liebman. Devoted daughter of the late Ruth and the late Ben Polger. Loving and cherished mother and mother-in-law of Tara Kaplan and Rob Fried, Bryan and Lauren Kaplan. Most special “Nanny” to Jake and Brody Fried, Olivia and Spencer Kaplan. Dearest and loved sister and sister-in-law of Reisha and Arthur Rosten, Leni and Don Fisher. Shimmie will be sadly missed by her many cousins, nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends. Special thanks to Sandra’s caregivers and to the staff at Parkland for their extraordinary care, kindness, and devotion. Funeral service at Benjamin’s Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue W., Toronto, on Sunday, October 30 at 12:00 p.m. Interment in the Community section of Pardes Chaim Cemetery.
