Obituary
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 12th, 2022 at 11:00 AM from St. Ann’s Chapel, Mainland.
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leverne LeCointre (nee Moraze), announce her passing on August 13th, 2020 at the age of 69 years. She was predeceased by: father Stephen Moraze Sr.; and mother-in-law Annie LeCointre.
She leaves to mourn with many loving and beautiful memories: husband Augustus “Gus”;sons: Dwayne (Tara) and Conway (Courtney); daughters: Samantha (Calvin) Bullen and Kimberly (Wallace) Chaisson; mother Catherine Moraze (nee Lainey); grandchildren: Staci Bullen, Carly Benoit, Toby Benoit, and Selena Chaisson; great grandchild Stella Benoit; brothers: Cornelius (Laura), Alban (Olive), Hervin (Bernice), Howard (Yvonne), and Steven Jr. (Marion); and sisters: Delsie (Donald) Green, Vivian (Jerome) LeCointre, Venecia (David) Flynn, Sylvia Cornect, and Gloria (Lloyd) LeCointre; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Leverne’s life will be held at a later date.
A special thank you to: all the staff on the palliative care unit at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville; Russell’s Funeral Home for their professionalism and compassion during this difficult time; and to the many who sent cards and words of comfort.
A special thank you to Malorie and Mallory, you were both amazing.
As expressions of sympathy, donation’s in Leverne’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
