LEVEILLE, Rolande
1931 – 2022
It is with great sorry, that the family announces the passing of Mrs. Rolande Léveillé at the age of 90. Mrs. Léveillé passed away in the comfort of her home with her loving children by her side on May 18, 2022.
She was born in Azilda, Ontario, on June 30, 1931, to Raoul Bélanger and Alda Paquette. A long-time resident of New Liskeard, Mrs. Léveillé was predeceased by her husband Raymond Léveillé. She is fondly remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grand-mother, and great-grandmother, who always put the interests of her family first.
Mrs. Léveillé was a cake decorator, seamstress and baker. Her passion for learning led her to obtain her high school diploma at the age of 82. Her kindess, caring and wisdom will live on like a legacy of love and will leave an imprint in the memories of many.
She is survived by her 7 daughters: Fernande (Jacques) Dallaire, Pauline (Ronald) Gravel, Carmen (Serge) Rioux, Claudette (Chris) Watson, Marie (Mike Harrington) Léveillé, Lise Léveillé, Monique (Martin) Lafrance, 18 grand-children and 28 great-grand-children. She will sadly be missed by her twin sister Fernande (late Roger) Armstrong and sister, Rachelle (Marcel) Frappier.
Mrs. Léveillé was predeceased by her siblings: Cécile Dupuis (Wilfred), Berthe Cyr (Ovila), Rita Loyer (Omer), Edna Castonguay (Phyllias), Evelyne St-Onge (Joseph), Evélina St-Onge, Laurence Mieczaniec (Stan), Simone Brosseau (Alex), Arthur Bélanger (May), Léo Bélanger (Eunice), Edouard Bélanger (Dolorès), Ernest Bélanger (Hortense) and Gérard Bélanger.
The Léveillé Family will welcome family and friends for visitation at Sacred Heart Church, Tuesday, May 24th, 2022, at 10:00 am followed by the service at 11:00 am. Internment will take place at the New Liskeard Catholic Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial contributions to Sacred Heart Parish at P.O. Box 488, New Liskeard, ON P0J 1P0 will be gratefully acknowledged.
C’est avec tristesse que la famille vous annonce le décès de Mme Rolande Léveillé à l’âge de 90 ans. Mme Léveillé est décédée dans le confort de sa maison mercredi, le 18 mai 2022 avec sa famille à ses côtés.
Née à Azilda, Ontario le 30 juin 1931, elle était la fille de Raoul Bélanger et Alda Paquette. Résidente de New Liskeard depuis plusieurs années, elle fut précédée par son époux Raymond Léveillé (1931-2017).
Maman était décoratrice de gâteaux, couturière et boulangère. Sa passion pour l’apprentissage l’a amenée à obtenir son diplôme d’études secondaires à l’âge de 82 ans. Sa bonté, sa bienveillance et sa sagesse vivront comme un héritage d’amour et laisseront une empreinte dans les souvenirs de beaucoup.
Elle laisse dans le deuil ses 7 filles : Fernande (Jacques) Dallaire, Pauline (Ronald) Gravel, Carmen (Serge) Rioux, Claudette (Chris) Watson, Marie (Mike Harrington) Léveillé, Lise Léveillé, Monique (Martin) Lafrance, 18 petits-enfants et 28 arrières-petits-enfants.
Mme Léveillé est précédée par ses frères et soeurs: Cécile Dupuis (Wilfred), Berthe Cyr (Ovila), Rita Loyer (Omer), Edna Castonguay (Phyllias), Evelyne St-Onge (Joseph), Evélina St-Onge, Laurence Mieczaniec (Stan), Simone Brosseau (Alex), Arthur Bélanger (May), Léo Bélanger (Eunice), Edouard Bélanger (Dolorès), Ernest Bélanger (Hortense et Gérard Bélanger.
La famille Léveillé accueillera familles et amis à l’Ėglise Sacré-Cœur mardi, le 24 mai 2022 pour une visite à 10h suivie par la messe à 11h. L’inhumation aura lieu au Cimetière Catholique de New Liskeard.
