McDonald, Les
Passed away peacefully on March 8, 2022 in his 66th year at the Milton District Hospital with Susan by his side. Beloved husband of Susan (Bousfield), father of Evan and Stepfather to Sara (George) and Grandfather to Bella. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Pat McDonald. Survived by brother Bill (Debbie) and sister Dorothy. Fondly remembered by in-laws Roy and Eleanor Bousfield, Bill (Jeannie), Paul, Joy (Barry) and many other family and friends. Les loved the farm! Born, raised, devoted and proud farmer. Les spent 24 happy years trucking, fixing and maintaining farm machinery for Premier Equipment in Ospringe. If you had the pleasure of knowing Les, you would know that Les was a kind “old’ soul and a man of few words. He was highly respected by all that knew him especially in the farming community. Les was very loyal to his family, friends and his job and wore a smile with pride. He was a farmer all his life, his love of the land was rewarded with excellent yields year after year. He also took great pride in how the land and crops were cared for. There were times he would play a little trick on you just to see a smile. He will be greatly missed by all. After battling cancer, he lost his fight to lung disease. May he rest in peace. A special thank you to the staff at Milton District Hospital for their compassionate care for Les. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, March 13, 2022 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home, 114 Main street East, Milton, (905)878-4452. A funeral service will commence on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Les’ name to a charity of your choice. On-line condolences may be left at www.mckersie-kocher.ca
