Obituary of Leonard Abbott
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leonard Abbott of Hermitage announce his passing at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Centre in Botwood on August 12, 2022 at the age of 72. Leonard Abbott was a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
He was predeceased by his parents, William and Lillian (nee Rose) Abbott, sisters, Mona and Sophie, brothers Clayton, Gordon, Earl, Roland and Wilfred (Henry), daughter (Sonia), father and mother in law Samuel and Mary Jane (nee Collier) Davis, sister in law Millie Davis, and brother in law Allan Davis. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Mary and sons Cameron (Stephanie and Zac), Dana (Maureen), and Neil (Lisa), and his sister Ruby, as well as his grandchildren, Hayden and Sophie, and a large circle of extended family and friends.
Leonard was a born jokester and loved nothing better than spinning a good story or entertaining friends with a joke. His former colleagues and friends will remember him with a smile knowing that he has moved on to tell his jokes to a new crowd. His upbeat outlook and sense of humour were a comfort to those around him throughout his battle with cancer.
We don’t know what life will be like without you, but we will remain thankful for what you taught us and the laughter that we all shared over the years.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Leonard
